The magical island
Casa Scalecci (pronounced "ska-leh-tchee") is a winery in Marzamemi, Sicily, the southernmost part of Italy. It has been in our family for over 100 years, but it was not given the care it truly deserved until twenty years ago when our parents came back with a fresh mind to run the business.
We are their kids, Patrizia and Diana Assennato, and we created Da Scalecci, a travel agency like the good old days. We started this to make our friends fall in love with this magical island and visit more often. It worked, so now we want to invite you.

The land
This tiny island at the heart of the Mediterranean is a historical crossroads shaped by cultural and ethnic mix. The result is a mosaic of resilient people known for their strong sense of community and pride in their heritage.
Only a few hundred meters from the sea and right under the “Sun Belt,” our winery's soil holds a wealth of biodiversity. We are blessed with more than 300 sunny days a year and the warm winds from the Sahara’s desert.
